Exclamation HDMI screen resolution problem. Please advise! :(

Hello, Istoryans. I need your help.

I have a desktop with an AMD A4-3300 processor.
Graphic Card is an Integrated AMD Radeon HD 6450. (This has a VGA and a DVI port)

I also have a Devant 24" TV Monitor with a VGA and HDMI port.

    My dilemma is this:

I used the PC the first time with a VGA cable and everything was fine except that I do not have any sound, since VGA's can't connect to the sound card. Only HDMI's can. So, what I did is I purchased a DVI to HDMI cable to connect my PC to my monitor.

After I acquire the cable and had it connected to the monitor, everything worked as expected except for the screen resolution.

Hait ra kaayo ang resolution which is not normal anymore. The VGA resolution is even better kay klaro pa nimo ang screen. Pero ang sa HDMI, you are like looking at a broken pixel.

I have already tried changing the resolution of the screen to no avail. If dili siya hait kaayo, super sad ka dagko ang screen, bisan og na set na nako siya to small size. If gamay sad, super sad ka gagmay.

Guys, any idea what I should do with this please? Sakit kaayo siya sa mata noon imbis mo nindot ang quality when using the HDMI.

Pangita og setting sa imong TV and set it to "PC", before I had this problem on a Sony Bravia. Ako gi rename ang input label to PC and everything worked fine like a normal PC monitor dili na hayag kaayo.

Maka re-assign man kaha ka sa HDMI input to PC sa imo TV?

That's a very good question bro.

Naa option sa ako TV to select which input to display.

    Here are the options:

    TV
    AVI
    Component
    HDMI
    VGA
    DMP

If I want to watch movie, I select TV. If I want to connect to the desktop, I choose HDMI.

I will be posting screenshots of how my monitor appear now with the HDMI and with how it used to look like with a VGA tomorrow bro. Naa man ko office now gud.

Dako jud kaayo ni nga hassle kay I am going to use the PC for video and photo editing man gud. I was even expecting nga ang HDMI connection will make the screen resolution better.

Ambot lang sa imo TV bai, basta ako TV I can switch input. Let's say I am using HDMI from a PC source, pede nako ma set ang HDMI as "PC Input" then mausab ra ang display na mura pod siya og ordinary desktop monitor.

Cge update lang nya imo thread, masulbad ra na don't worry...

I guess naa ni siya pang PC cguro sir. This TV is a TV/Monitor -that being said, I am confident that this is meant to be used as a monitor.

I will probably check the settings when I reach home. Thanks sa imo input sir. I will update the thread later when I get home.

How can you be so confident? Cheap lcdtvs were never meant to be pc monitors. They were just not designed in that forte in the first place. Some are just that- TVs and no more. Some cant just keep up with the data that a pc can feed.

There are lots of issues similar to that in tpc. Also with other brands. I personally experienced that with one china brand lcdtv.

But first, you can try another hdmi. But i doubt that wil solve it.

I also had a devant 32" . fuzzy/grainy sya if hdmi ang gamiton. g dala na nko ang ako cpu sa store, g try nko ang ilaha full hd na 32", switch cables, tried laptop with hdmi, tried all the suggestions google and bing can offer. in the end, my 32" devant will only display properly on VGA, and not on HDMI. nice unta ug color ang HDMI pero fuzzy/grainy pud siya.. so lain tanawon if mag fb or naa ra ka sa destop.
