Default Quick Question: AMD Driver compatibility

    Situation, possible trade for 7770, 7750, 7870
do i need to change drivers if i switch these card in my system for checking

I know it's better to change drivers .. Im asking is if it is required, Im just going to be stress testing the cards.

Its vague because only 7xxx series is only specified for the driver download.. is it safe to assume that all 7 series will work on this driver?

u dont, but as a general rule, to avoid or rule out problems a clean install of drivers is necessary, especially if used for tests.

dili na needed since its of same company and like that same VC architecture

LABI na gyud if u are already using the Most latest driver.

    if you're done testing

you can send us the 7870.

we be glad to takecare of that.

@butitoy nice answer boss.. hehe.. I downloaded the latest driver for both and did the switch without changing the drivers.. M.work rah cya.. but it will require a restart once mka.boot nka.. just let it restart and the PC will adjust the necessary settings once you've booted up again..

naa'y mga GPU na need ta'g re-install the driver once mag ilis ta. ang uban, no need to re-install the drivers. automatic detect and adjust... and uban pud, dili mo auto detect ug auto adjust sya. need ug re-install ang driver... naka experience nko sa akoang Nvidia GPUs on these 2 scenarios... mao ni ang summary... rigs used was the Gaming & the Entertaiment rig...

    > 9600GT to GT 240 and vice versa... "no need" to re-install the driver...
    > 9600GT to GTX 650 and GTX 660 Ti... "need" to re-install the driver...
    > GT 240 to GT 640, GTX 650, GTX 660 Ti and GTX 670 and vice versa... "need" to re-install the driver...
