    kung gamer ka don't go beyond 8ms... 5ms or less should be ideal labi nag paspas imo video card and you play fast FPS games... dako ang chance nga maka kita kag random tearing effect sa graphics...

    mao nay usa ka disadvantage sa IPS kay taas gyud ang iyang mga response times... kung maka kita kag super fast nga IPS, super expensive sad...

    additionally, if you're a gamer, you don't really need to go IPS... you don't need that much viewing angle except nalang siguro og mag duwa ka nga nagtakilid...

    Naay monitors nga dili ka apas sa kapaspason sa imo input device (video card). Kasuway ko ug KTC ug kita kos Devant lcdtv. Though 5ms ang specified response time nila, maklaro gyud ang GHOSTING. O pwede pud siguro dili na maoy tinuod nga response time nila or hinay lang gyud kaayo sila ug video engine dili pareha anang mga Sony (with bravia engine) or Dell (made to handle high reso graphics). Pwede pud nga hinay ug processing on color-to-color (not gray-to-gray nga maoy naka-specify) or naa lang gyud isa ka section nga hinay causing INPUT LAG.

    Daghan pwede causes sa Ghosting, dili lang response time. Basically, even 10ms response time is good for gaming. You cant be sure (on paper) whether nindot ba for gaming ang usa ka monitor just by looking at response time. Mas salig pa ko nga maayo sya for gaming kung taas sya ug REFRESH RATE (about 120hz).

    In actual testing pud, playing a video or a game using a laptop dili pud reliable unless ang video kay 1080p 60hz or sa game, capable of outputting 1080p @ more than 60fps imo VC. Logic is any lcd monitor/lcdtv nowadays is capable of displaying a 720p 24fps movie flawlessly, ma-meetgyud nila ang 5ms response time ana.

    @bim27142,
    Murag dili pud siguro sa monitor ang Screen Tearing bro. Sa VC or game settings tingali na. I have Screen Tearing on Dirt 3 @ 80fps, turning vsync on, solves it. Naa pud slight screen tearing on Farcry 3, turning vsync on, mo-lag nuon sya, adaptive vsync worsens it. Raising Frame Buffer to 5 makes it minimal na lang.
