Default Need advice on what Ultrabook to buy

Hey guys. I am on the market for a good ultrabook and would like your suggestions.

I am looking for locally available ultrabooks, with preferably the following specs:

at least Core i5 3rd gen ivy bridge
    13.3" or 14" - for 13.3" 1366x768 is fine, however for 14" i'd prefer 1600x900 upwards
gpu - i won't be doing much gaming with the laptop, so hd4000 upwards should be good
    at least 4GB RAM
    won't cost more than 40k
more or less 4lbs weight and less than 20mm thick

For brands, I'm trying to avoid HP since I had a bad experience with my previous laptop which was from them. I've heard good things about Asus and Acer.

I've been looking around the internet and right now i'm eyeing these models:

    Samsung Series 5
Acer M5 - though reviews say it's heavy and also the 14" 1366x768 is a bit of a turnoff
Asus Zenbook - the lower ones since the high end ones cost too much
Dell XPS 13/14 - 14 is also heavy but the 1600x900 resolution is good

I don't know how much these laptops go for locally, so if you know the prices and post them here, that'd be great.

If there are other good alternatives that fit my specifications, please post them here also

    Thank you.

Choose kanang 4th generation i7 or i5 na nga processor or Haswell ky they are designed for laptops. Ang iya graphics and proceesing speed is remarkable compared to previous generation. No need for Nvidia or ATI built in graphics.

For the brand and other features its all up to you.

yeah i agree. wait a little while for haswell ultrabooks. they may cost a little more but the performance is very noticeable vs ivy.

personally i don't prefer ultrabooks since non replaceable ang battery, cause i always buy spare battery for my laptop but that's just me.

kung ultrabooks...i would look at samsung's and asus' they have great offers.

gamit nako ron thought not an ultrabook, but hp's pavillion sleekbook 14" though not as thin as ultrabook's but hey the battery is replaceable. hehehe

You won't find an ultrabook under 4 lbs. for 40K php.

    i5 3317u Processor
128GB SSD (mao ra jud ni ako reklamo aning SS9, mag dala lang jud kog external)
    8GB RAM
    13.3" 1600x900 MATTE Screen
    5 Hour Battery Life
