OPERATIVES of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Force Group (PAIDSOTG) arrested four suspected drug pushers, including two elderly sisters, during a buy-bust in Danao City, Cebu at 6:30 p.m. last Tuesday.
On the same night, the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) arrested a nursing graduate during a buy-bust on Tres Borces St., Barangay Mabolo for allegedly selling ecstasy and cocaine.
In Danao, PAIDSOTG seized from the suspects nine large and six medium packs of suspected shabu worth almost P230,000.
Senior Insp. Leo Logronio, head of PAIDSOTG, said sisters Florita Batucan, 58, and Mardonia Alvaro, 55, are in their list of suspected drug personalities.
The siblings' alleged cohorts were identified by police as Joselito Avila, 34, and Jasper Alvaro, 24.

Logronio told Sun.Star Cebu that their operation came after they received reports that Batucan allegedly went back to drug-peddling.
Batucan is allegedly a level-three drug pusher who can dispose of at least 50 grams of shabu per week. She was arrested in 2011 for drug peddling.
During the buy-bust operation, a policeman pretended to be a buyer and bought a large pack of shabu worth P25,000 from Batucan at 6:30 p.m. outside her house in F. Ralota St., Barangay Poblacion.
The police team found the other suspects inside Batucan’s house.
“Timing gyud kaayo kay mao'y pagbinahinay niya sa iyang igsuon sa shabu (Our timing was perfect. We caught the sisters dividing the shabu),” Logronio said.
Logronio said the suspects admitted that they sell drugs because it is their only way to eke a living.
The suspects are detained in Consolacion Police Station and will soon face charges of illegal possession and selling of drugs.
The CCPO City Intelligence Branch, on the other hand, arrested Ken Kenneth Rosales, 25, who was allegedly in possession of 14 ecstasy tablets and 12 medium packs of cocaine worth more than P100,000.

CIB Chief Romeo Santander said Rosales allegedly sells the illegal drugs in bars and gyms.
“Maninda siya og multivitamins as front (He sells multivitamins on the front),” he said, adding some of Rosales' clients are party-goers.
Santander said a big green capsule believed to be Ecstasy or methylene-dioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) is worth P2,300 each, while a small one is priced at P1,700.
When interviewed by the police, Rosales allegedly admitted selling the drugs for more than a year.
Santander said they will coordinate with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 7 and the Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Force Group 7 to investigate the identity of Rosales' suppliers.
A complaint for violating Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against Rosales.
