wireless router nga maka limit sa users

good day guys.

ask lang ko kung naa moy nahibaw an nga wireless router nga puyde maka limit sa users.
what i mean is akong kuhaon ang ilang mac address then i input nako sa router para kato lang nga mac address ang puyde mo access ug wireless connection.

ang existing router man gud diri kay walay option nga akong gipangita.
then ang uban nga mogamit kay i share man nila sa ilang friends ang password sa wifi maong daghan na noong mo connect nga stranger.

gusto unta nako nga bisan pag nakabalo tong strangers sa password, dili gihapon sila maka connect kay wala man nakabutang ilang mac address sa router.

kinsa tong nakabalo diha, please give me the BRAND and MODEL sa router.

Cisco routers naay Mac filtering functions. Pwede nimo i-specify ang mac adds to allow. You can also trim down the number of IP adds and allocate to a specific Mac address. Pangita lang ug bag-o nga model. Kini ako kai pakapin man ni sa Skybroadband.

D-link routers w/ "My D-link enabled" function... like the DIR-605L... mao ni gamit nko diri ug nila sa balay dha sa cebu. barato pa gyud. naa ni daghan dha sa shop sa SM... we can even access the router on-line... pwede nato i-block ang IP addy na dili nato ipa access bisan, valid ang PC or mobile na naka connect (even nila sa balay). nindot ni pag monitor gani sa usage sa net sa mga anak na nag eskwela even outside Pinas ta. we can even access it throguh mobile... mao ni ai... kanang slider sa "Block", mao na ang gamiton para block & unblock sa naka connect na gadget or PC... very useful gyud ni sya...

there are a lot of wireless routers that have mac address filtering features. i have used before a netgear n150, dlink (forgot exact model), and cisco e1000. Even kanang mga TP-Link naa sad mga models with that feature. Before you buy it, just look at the specs and features.

nka-suway gne ko setup nga ako lng gi open access (no password), pero nag use ko mac filtering...so useless gihapon kay d man mka connect ang bisag kinsa nga stranger/neighbor. Just set the option to "Only allow these mac addresses".

to specify the particular CPE nga pwede mu-access. Sa ana nga rule, tanang wala ma-specify, dili kaAccess pareha anang giingon ni @silentnuker

Im using mac filtering to limit users. Get mac add of each device then register it on your router.

halos tanan man wifi router mka mac filtering. try tp-link 740N router tag 1.1k ra ako kuha pm me for details aha napalit kai bcin mag advertise ko if ako i-mention.

i registered the mac address of my devices as "allow"

then only my devices are allowed to use the wifi. no password for wifi needed. i just changed the password of the router para dili ma edit kung naay manghulam sako device.

bro ah i see... basin ganahan si TS pud ani if mag ilis sya'g new wifi router...

kaning online feature sa My Dlink, handy gyud kaayo... sila sa balay sa mandaue, akoang gi monitor online and internet access sa wifi during week days. if ang IP add sa mobile or tab sa akoang anak, online, mag ask ko nla if unsa ang gibuhat. assignment ba ko surfing lang. if surfing lang. akoang i slide ang "block slider" para dili maka access. so, maka tuon. then sa Friday night, ibalik nko ug slide sa unblock para maka surf2x sya until sunday evening.

kani, nice ni if ang silingan o kaila sa family member ninyo mag access sa wifi... i-block ang gadget... pero, kun mo bisita sa sulod sa balay like naa'y pundok2x, pwede i-slide to un-block...

by the way, maka kita ta's history sa ilahang gi sudlan pud so, no excuses... hehehe... ala, militaristic ba... for the kids sake man pud ni dba? too much freedom is not good. mawala ang skill sa pag tuon...

Linksys, valet (cisco), dlink, netgear. tanan man ako nailhan na wireless router naay option ingana. either look for mac filtering options or IP filtering (provided na static ang Ip sa computer).

Naa pud uban na settings na ilimit tanan computers na selected sa websites na mavisit ug ang oras (naay curfew settings ang uban)

I dont know the exact buttons to push pero ipa-navigate rako sa tabs ug subtabs, mahibaw an raman.

considering nga akong PCI router w/c is already almost a decade old has that feature
