Good morning/noon/everning istoryans.. I badly need some advice. I have shared my lifestory here: < https://www.istorya.net/forums/family...ce-advice.html > and by the way, I really appreciate the comments and suggestions and it was really a great help. But now I have another issue. It's between career and family. I know on my first post I wanted to move out but I decided to stay. I really just can't leave them.

My problem is, I was offered a promotion but will be based in Manila. It's like 6k increase from currently what I'm earning. My pay always, goes out to my family. I wanted this promotion badly so when I was asked if I'm willing to be permanent in Manila, i sort of accepted the offer. I have a month to decide whether to go or not. I conducted a survey about life in Manila but I'm getting negative responses. I've been there several times though but haven't experienced living there.

I weighed things out. And I'm like 50-50.

Does anyone of you here experienced life in Manila?

Manila's great dude. u jst nid 2 be careful and mindful ol d tym. but so far, 8s jst lyk living in Cebu: u cn rent a house for 6k in manila which is so much nicer compared to renting a house hir in Cebu; the cost of groceries is basically the same but what's gud is u get a lot more choices and sales in manila; u get a lot more affordable cost for clothing, gadgets f ur in2 dat stuff; and of course, pay is a lot higher in manila. Cebu offers provincial rate in terms of salary. Competition's tough in manila but at least u get to do a fair competition and not just get discarded because u dnt have enuf friends in a company. stuff lyk dat.

Manila? darn..mas mahal didto kaysa diri sa Cebu....hehehe! 6k increase? kilawon ra na bro...anyways...mao lang na akong masulti about going to work in Manila. Cebu is better kay ang malakaw puede ra lakton di parehas Manila nga need gyud ka mo sakay maski puede ra lakton kay ari sa imong nawong ang tambutso. heheheh! wait lang pud ta sa uban feedback.

I'd say Manila...coz it's for you to build up your career...the pay is nothing if you think of the promotion and what it can do to help you in your future plans

I moved to Cebu nga to study here instead of Iloilo...why? to expand my views on the world...next year Manila siguro ako to work :P

6K di na igo ibayad sa additional problema (pollution, traffic ug uban pa) didto sa manila. 6k additional income aron lang adto ug manila, that's not a promotion. Better stay with the family kung lugi ka sa financial aspect, di na ka makatabang ana sa family nimo kay bun-og imong lawas didto kay sa naa ra ka dire.

used to work in Manila for 4 years...my advice to you, unless free na relocation and you have some close relatives in Manila, is to stay...
