I've heard that Marriott offers a delightful breakfast and it's at P558++ per head... and last time i checked, Plantation Bay offers it at P950...
Are there any other places in Cebu to have sumptuous breakfast and for how much?

i tried Marriott and food there wasn't really worth the price[br]Posted on: June 03, 2007, 08:06:13 PM_________________________________________________b ut maybe bad timing on the menu lang that day..
i don't find marriot's or even plantation bay's breakfast buffets extraordinary. the fried foods are too oily (usual for buffets) and many items are a dime a dozen. unless there is a crepe' station, i won't waste my money on hotel breakfast buffets.
if i have late-morning meetings - and i am hosting or paying - my first choice is Dessert Factory and i have their soup and sandwich meal with coffee. it's less than php100 and filling enough.
if it's really a sun-rise affair, then Eddie's Log Cabin is IT for me. nothing beats steak and eggs in the early morning !!!
ok sige... we'll try that eddie's log cabin... i also heard their steaks are really good..
any other breakfast buffet suggestions?
if it's breakfast buffets i wanna have, then Marco Polo would be my choice. avoid the Filipino dishes, ham, sausages and bacon and go for the pastries and spreads. take your fill of the brewed coffee (beans are freshly grounded and not from the can) and pair it with an omellete cooked at the station. i think the cost is around php400 per person. i wasn't paying so i didn't bother to ask.
if you wanna order from a menu, then try Vienna Cafe at Mango Avenue and go for their sausages. if it's noodles you're looking for, then try the chicken mami at Snowsheen near Colon. it's old style mami and pair it with siopao asado. Carlo's batchoy is right beside it if you want a stronger and richer flavor.
wow.. that's pretty informative.. thanks scaffolding.
My wife and I have gone to the Breakfast Buffet at the Cafe Uno in C.C. Waterfront. Price (for two) was included with nightly room rate and we found it to be very satisfying with plenty of choices of food available.
We have not tried the Marco Polo, Shangra-La, or Marriot breakfast buffet.
*****Can anyone who has tried the Waterfront's "breakfast" buffet and any of the others mentioned above (that we have not tried) please give your comparisons and opinions? *****
Thanks.
i find breakfasts in hotels incredibly expensive. wow! for the price of nearly 1000 i get to eat eggs, sausages, ham, and coffee. i am better off having breakfast at mcdo
I think that a hotel breakfast is for the rare occasion or special treat for most, not a once a week kind of thing. I would think that one would investigate a little further into the available items when going to a "decent" hotel breakfast though. For the foods that you mentioned, Mcdonalds surely would be the correct choice, or rather just make it at home to save even more. I believe that she's talking about a breakfast that offers something more than just those simple things though. To each his own I guess.Originally Posted by caphook
