Honestly, ive been using a 6-year old Scythe Mugen and i feel no need to upgrade. But if there's one reason why you need to upgrade, its because of your cooler's orientation.

as far as in know, H80i can be very loud at full speeds and you might need to it to full speed to really see the difference between the two... at silent settings, i don't think H80i will be very much cooler than the C14...

ako i have switched from U12P-SE2 to H60 2nd gen (made it push/pull)... to be honest, the temps are just more or less the same but ang ako lang, ma offload nako ang mobo sa almost 1 kilo load when using U12P-SE2 so for me, even if dili mas bugnaw ang H60, ok ra gihapon kaayo nako kay naa pa ko lain purpose sa pag ilis...

akong point, is depende sa imong tuyo og gusto nga outcome...

aw abi nako he's choosing between the two,

    @ts

doing any overclock? One thing I saw going for the H80i though is clearance. Ang just as what keropi said, the cooler orientation is somwhat in-effective ana nga casing, no vent holes sa kilid in line sa cpu.

ouch.. sensitive rba q kaau sa noise.. these noctua fans are stupid silent.. im having trouble gyud with the orientation though, that fan does not support my overall airflow, most of the heat from my CPU go directly to my mobo.. most of the times mas init akong MOBO compared sa aq CPU, but im not prepared to sacrifice performance and noise levels over looks.. i dont have a window side panel on my SG09 pud so looks don't really matter.. but this is my mobile rig, and i think I would benefit from the weight loss..

I Sometimes overclock just for shits and giggles.. application-wise.. I don't..Sometimes I apply a subtle overclock of 4.7ghz stable for 24 hours... then run the PC underclocked..I mean 2.5ghz @boost that much underclocked..

That PC is too overpowered for its use.. I mainly play games with that build.. pang peace of mind lang ang specs anah..

    BTW
    Core i7 3770K
    Maximus V Gene
    Silverstone 600W Modular
    Kingston hyperX 1600mhz 1.5V CL9 9-9-9-24
    1tb WD Black Caviar 7200rpm 64bit cache
Plextor M5 Pro Xtreme SSD (boot drive)
    Silverstone SG09
    Noctua NH-C14

But what if im running normal loads with no oc..
will the Corsair H80i perform as well as the Noctua NH-C14 with both coolers on silent mode?

    Corsair H80i on SG09

    Noctua NH-C14 on SG09

"idk if mao ba C14 ba gyud na, pero agid2 ra sila"

If mag OC ka, better go for h80i, pwd man sad nimu pamahinayan ang fanspeed if sabaan raka.

After analyzing the setup of an SG-09, after second thought, i think the only way to have your cooler inhale fresh air is if it takes it from the rear fan. Doesnt the psu blow out hot exhaust inside the case?

Edit: Naa diay intake sa ibabaw. Still the question about the psu exhaust still stands.
