Uhm, sinangag is actually garlic rice not fried rice. I love tocilog though!
sinangag is tagalog for fried rice. when you saute garlic and mix it in while frying rice, that's what you call garlic rice...but it's still basically fried rice.
I dont think so, they are different by ingredients. Sinangag has only garlic in it which is the original recipe, While fried rice calls for meat (chicken, pork, shrimp etc.) and veggies (bean sprout, onion, carrots, peas and no GARLIC) then they put Soy sauce in it for flavor and color. It's a big misconception.
