For My MOM...

I wrote this last night when I remembered that this month is for mothers and that May 20, my mom's birthday, is fast approaching...

For My Mother,

From the start, she's always there...
My first teacher..
She taught me life...
Taught me many things one can not just read in books
Taught me that life is not at all fair,
Taught me how to wait...

Taught me that not all days are happy days...
Coz "life is like a wheel,
And if you receive blessings,
Do not be too proud", she said...

For two decades,
She were overprotective of me,
But, just like a mother bird,
She had to teach me how to fly...
Though I saw the tears and fears in her eyes,
But "I had already prepared for this day", she said...

I realized,
It's true that a good child is a mother's treasure,
A blessing from above,
But, for me, I am more blessed,
To have a mother,
Who can do almost everything,
All for me...

I want to say thank you..
But I know, words are not enough...
I cannot express how thankful I am...

All I can do is to ask God..
To give her good health,
To make her happy each day...

I will forever be her child...
