Why are the people of the Dinaric Alps so tall?

Any theories or proven reasons that I overlooked in my Google search that yielded no results? They're known for being the tallest people in the world... I have a theory; do you think it sounds reasonable? My theory is that because the people of the Dinaric Alps are constantly at such a high altitude, the force of gravity constantly pulling on their spines is much less than that of the people of most other countries. Because of this, their spines can extend more, so they do. A longer spine makes a person taller (usually, unless they have abnormally short legs paired with an abnormally long torso like mine, which is 3.4 inches less than the average while my height is only 0.05 inches above the average, lol), so these people are the tallest in the world. What do you guys think? And why are asians average height is so soooo small?

Your theory is actually quite similar to my theory. I noticed that women from the high altitude places like Bukidnon seems to be gifted chest wise (if you know what I mean).. Not all, but most. Like around 80% to 90% of them. My theory is that it is because of the air and the overall environment. Air in high altitude places is lighter, which means there is less weight pulling "them" down.

Note: I won't use the correct term nalang kay basin ma infraction ko.

That's a good theory, TS but there are other factors you are not accounting for. What about weather, food, sunlight exposure?

I think the only thing we can deduce from their height is that it provides them with a survival-advantage or, to be stricter, it does not provide any negative survival pressure.

By looking at the nice pictures of the alps I'll share my own theory

The environment would be a big factor here. I would assume that the alps is a quiet, simple and laid back mountain community. As with most mountin communities, milk and meat producing livestock would be common. Generations upon generations having a good supply of calcium and protein would contribute to their height. Also, stress can affect height. Being in a nice and relaxing environment would take off some of that stress
