DDR brands combination

is it alright to combine 2x512mb kingston DDR400 and 2x512mb Corsair XMS DDR400(w/ activity LEDs)?
These mems will be installed on Abit IC7-G mobo.
Pls enlighten me.

bitaw auto.... nlnag.. if you're not sure sa timings.. but i guess you can set manual timings

i think if you have no plans of overclocking the memory beyond 400Mhz then auto nalang ang timings....

bai.. mas better if you have same brand.. para iwas sa problema.. naay uban na pariha ra sa timing.. pero maka problema ra gihapon in the near future... :mrgreen:

@jhnpl : bro dili man athlon ang imong gi gamit? kay naa sa manual sa dfi na dili mo work ang athlon if 3 sticks of ram, mahimo sad ug ddr 333 if 4 sticks of ram ang gamiton. dunno if applicable pa ni sa uban mobo para sa athlon 64.

yup, dili athlon bro....its a P4 and abit IC7-G i875 chipset motherboard. dili pud 3 sticks ram, 4 na tanan. 2x512 kingston and 2x512 Corsair = 2 GB ram
