    Default reset cmos of mobo

Good day istoryans, i have a c2d e6300 with MSI p965neo-f mobo. nag oc ko ani then....

i've noticed that whenever i want to set the mobo back to its default setting by shorting the jumper to 2 & 3, wala raman mahitabo... all of the settings remain the same. unya mga 5 minutes manako g-short ang jumper before returning it to 1 & 2.
    what's wrong with this?

ako ra gibuhat ky g-select nalang nako ang option nga load optimized defaults.. does this have the same effect as pag short sa jumper?

hi ceejay actually i never had a problem with mine so far kai wa man ko ka try ug oc, hadlok ko hehehe, yes but you are right again, bios update is some solve a lot of issues much more on overclocking, mine im still observing the jmicron, i may update my bios if im going to encounter again that problem, the problem is this although i resolved it, ang ako optical drive duha isa dvdrom, isa dvd-rw, naunsa man 2 days ko wa ka gamit ako pc kai na bz ko what happend wala ma detect ang dvd-rw(secondary slave) sa jmicron, so what i need ako gi on ang pc ug balik gi detached sa nako dvd-rw,so ang dvdrom ra sa then after a while ako gi shutdown napos gi connect balik and dvd-rw then na ok na back to normal na, hhhhmmmm mataling haga, what you think what happend? what may be the cause need some opinion to why is that. thanks

you mean i-short nako ang jumper then i-on? i haven't tried that yet bro ky ni ingun man ang manual nga never turn on your pc when the jumper is set to short coz it might damage the mobo. ako sulayan nang removing the battery and cutting the ac power coz wala ko kasulay ana. removing the battery results in resetting of cmos man diba?

im just using 1piece 80gig ide hardisk and 1piece ide dvd writer. no problems encountered. im planning to buy 160gig sataII hardisk. but if naay available nga sata optical drive, i think i will upgrade with that too. coz the i just bought an 8800gts videocard and mu overlap cya sa ide slot sa ako mobo which is a problem ky dili cya ma insert maayo sa pci-express slot because of this.
