For starters, I'd like to start a healthy hobby, I'm trying to build an MTB set and would like to know how much it would generally/average cost of setting one up.

for preference i'd like a big body frame and Tires kay dako ko about 110 kgs.

Anyone knows what's a good MTB set up for me? and also how much it would cost?

if naa sad mo ma recommend na Bike Shops who sells cheap quality bike parts either surplus or brand new that would be great.

Good to start surplus bikes, then if you found it interesting spend around 15-20K bike, for life na na bike

buy sa ka ug kanang di kaayo mahal then try ka few rides with friends then later you can decide kung ganahan ba ka mo stick sa biking or not....... if gahnahan jud ka then you can trade ur old bike for higher end na bike..... some man gud after pila ka rides na realize nila na wala diay silay enough time for biking or di jud diay nila kaya ang biking maybe health reasons or dili jud diay sila ganahan sa biking, na dala ra sa peer pressure ba, then decide sila na mu stop lang usa. so at least wala pa ka ka palit ug mahalon na bike if mu stop ka.

10-20K starter bike is ok.... then if imo i career.......adto sa ykk, bikecology o bike logic.........didto ka kita ug bike na murag motor or auto ang presyo, hehehe

Mga sir ganahan pud unta ko mo palit ug bike, kana 10k na bike nice na?

There are Shimano mountain bikes sold at Metro Ayala within the range of P10k to P15k. Maybe you can start with that.

great! I used to bike from urgello to Pulang Bato in Talamban... there is a hidden falls there it is so refreshing!
