a few weeks ago ang pc sa taas na kwarto gipatauran ug SMARTBRO. kanang offer sa smart na broadband with an antenna ibutang sa taas sa atup. then i hav a pc sa ubos and i want to know unta f what r the things i need para maka connect ang pc sa ubos sa smartbro sa taas na pc. unsa man mga pisa ( mga hardware and software and wires )kinahanglanun? ang ubos na pc has OS win98, wlay lan card.

pls help me wla jud ko idea unsaon pag network.

naa man daghan paagi bai nga imong mahimo.
but first you must put a LAN card sa imong PC sa ubos.

1. use ka router or switch then straight connection(UTP cable).
2. put another LAN card sa PC sa taas then adto connect imong PC sa ubos then use cross connection(UTP cable).

--first, butangi sa ug LAN card ang other PC.
--then, if you dont know how to make a crossover cable, palit na lang. estimate the distance first kay by meter ang pagpalit anang UTP crossover cable nga crimped na with rj45 jocks end to end. barato ra na
--connect dayun ang cables sa LAN card on the other end and the router port on the other end
--no need to configure na na, makaconnect na dayun na sa internet

* Connect your both PCs sa router / switch imong paliton.
* This kind of setup allows both PCs to connect the internet and share files as well.
* PC2 doesn't need to rely on PC1 for internet connectivity

Simple network setup all cables are straight.

smart bro --- > (router / switch) ------------> PC 1
|---------------------> PC 2

im not really familiar about sa smartbro, im using globelines man gud with 4 ports router. if wala'y mabutangan nga slot for your PC2, you might take everybody's advise here. palit ug switch. connect ang switch sa router, then connect your PC1 and PC2 sa switch.

router to switch --> straight cable
switch to PC --> straight cable

but if naa pa slot sa router, diritso na lang connect sa PC2, use crossover cable

again, 2 ways imo mabuhat. if dili ka gusto mogasto ug daku use the 2 LAN card configuration sa PC1 through cross over cable going to PC2. disadvantage kay dili ka kaconnect sa internet if off ang PC sa taas.

pero if naa kay budget, use a router/switch. Disadvantage, mahal-mahal gamay.

how much man ang magasto kaha if im gonna use the router/switch method plus wires? i hear around 1k+ daw ang router...then palitan pa lan card ang pc sa ubos n wires.
