maybe your maximum memory supported in your mobo per slot is 64mb only, bytheway wats the specs of your mobo.

Unsay dili compatible, pailisi na bay oi pataka raman na ang mga sales rep dha, very bad customer service they should be helping you not telling you that its not compatible.

kanang mga sales rep dha sa mga computers stores mga way alam bahin sa mga computer hardware, mga tagabukid na cla. pa haron ingon suwitos.

PaIlisi na oi or better to shove that memory module down their throat.

Please be more specific... unsay setup sa imong PC karon? Naa ba kay lain memory module nga giparis anang imong 128 MB? Model sa motherboard ug ang iyang chipset?

Ipasuway ug test sa ilaha ang imong memory nga gipalit ug tan-awa kung OK ra ba... as in tan-awa gyud ang gibuhat sa technician. Kung mugana sa ilaha, then most likely naa gyuy compatibility problem sa imo system.

A lot of things to consider and a lot of possible causes for this, so please be more specific and as thorough as possible.

that's a real prob with older motherboards (esp. slot 1 boards) that were manufactured before PC133 SDRAM was born.

i have 3 such kind of boards here that am using personally, and really cannot detect full 128mb pc133 memory if there are only 4 chips on the memory module.

but if there are 16 chips on the memory module, walay prob detect jud ang full capacity sa pc133 SDRAM.

ang 993Bs mobo bro still has no support for 133mhz FSB, no wonder half lang gihapon ang ma-detect sa memory.

itaod nang memory sa mobo nga mo-support up to 866mhz or 1gig p3 proc, madetect jud ang full memory size ana.

memory compatibility is largely dependent on the circuitry used by the ram chips.

Memory Density is a major factor regarding compatibility.

Old Ram (whether pc100 or pc133) had low density memory, (capacity per chip)

and most old motherboards were wired to use low density type of memory

because these manufacturing process were expensive, ram manufacturers adopted high capacity memory assembly which made ram cheaper to produce and sell. and most relatively new motherboards supported the hich capacity memory wiring.

some motherboards can only see half of high capacity memory modules because of the way they are manufactured.
thats why new sdram/ddr sdram is sooooo cheap compared to 3 years ago.
