Default SATA HDD Transfer Speed on USB 2.0 HDD Docking Station, pwede paba pakusgan?

SATA HDD Transfer Speed on USB 2.0 HDD Docking Station, pwede paba pakusgan?

will the HDD rpm matter if it is mounted through USB 2.0?, like i have a Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM will it be faster on USB 2.0 dont have a docking station as of this moment... nor have plan to get it since ill be building a docking rack...

i have a couple of HDD ATA/SATA lying around im planning to build a hdd docking rack instead of mounting them one-by-one

usb 3.0 would be my choice if i had a choice.. i will build this as cheap as possible and not buying anything... the docking rack im planning to will be mounted on a netbook running on ubuntu... this is intended to be mounted on raspberry pi once i get my hand on... not sure if i will go for NAS or just file server...

after a research last night i was able to stumble something that might increase its speed... still have to do more research...

i know the solutions im looking can be solve by acquiring latest specs... but i want my build to be atleast no purchases and use what is lying around... making use of what i already had

the idea is similar to p2p, where instead of doing 1 stream of transfer the file is divided into multiple stream, this feature is available as a plugin altap salamander... so its possible... cant explain the idea right for im still peeking to it... but to make simple... think about multiple rar package where you can break down a file into parts and merge it later...

btw, mao ni nga build ako plano

well its expected since USB 2.0 is slow, but breaking the files into multiple stream, will it improve the transfer time? i know speed affects the time... but if you simultaneously transfer multiple stream of a single file... let say... 1gig divided into 250mb per stream.. still i cant say if this theory works but it has to start somewhere... either way... still looking for possible workaround... the goal is to build a cheap HDD rack without purchasing the main parts...
