LG Notebook Bios Password

Hi, we have a notebook w/c my sister gave it to me from dubai. And we're using it for almost 4 years now.

To prevent my kids using it, my wife decided to put a password on the bios to block from using the laptop. It cannot pass windows boot if no password is encoded. Unfortunately, my wife entered a double space password i think. and now the password is not accepted.

The model of the laptop is LGR40, R400E. And this is a phoenix bios.

Anybody knows a universal bios password for LG laptop or phoenix bios? Please help.

open your laptop remove the jumper/battery and turn it on with out batt... then shutdown. put it back the battery nya i on usab. go to bios settings pwede naka maka butang imong pw.

unsa diay gamit sa bios password boss? dili diay na para sa bios ra, para pod diay na nga dili ka kasulod sa windows,,or sa bios ra gyud na...

dli na madala remove ang CMOS battery ana bro, naa jud software from LG ana gamiton. Sa ako HP sauna kay ilisan jud nila motherboard kay warranty pman.

@keropi: tried that already. no success.

@pushbutton: i don't think this method will work na, as far as i'm concern, most of the modern notebook need a software from the manufacturer to reset the bios. But your method will work on all desktops.

@fon&fun: yes, you can set up a bios password prior to booting. the password ma trigger na during post. sa dili pa mag-boot.
