    Default Adoption of my daughter.

I was a single mother when I gave birth to my daughter 4 years ago. Then ang ako husband karun wants to adopt my daughter para ma carry sa ako daughter iya last name. My daughter looks up to him as her real father. Kinsa naka balo how to go about in doing this? Do we need a lawyer? Or do we need to go to a certain government office? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It's a legal proceeding, so I think a lawyer is undoubtedly needed. How long have you been the 2 of you together that he wants your daughter to bear his name?

Ako man gani daughter nga nataw before mi nakasal nya wapa namo na change until now nga ten siya magsige man gani ask ngano wala pa mailis iyang apelyido.

We have been together for 4 years. Two years of being friends and lovers and two years as a married couple.

Yes longix - I believe it is really important. My daughter should start school this year and she really is a smart kid. If asked what her name is she would really answer you with my husband's last name as her surname. It would be best for all of us to bear the same surname to avoid problems in the future.

Yes, i do agree. Just get some legal advice. I once signed an adoption paper as witness, i guess that was all it took with some fees of course. I'll try to ask my friend who happened to adopt a kid about two years ago.
