    Default Asus P8Z77-V IRST Won't Install Anymore

    Background:

    - 2 days ago, I noticed nga mag lisud kog sulod sa BIOS og kung maka sulod man, the keyboard won't work (USB keyboard plugged in to the USB KB port at the back of course)... So I thought it was stability issues, I checked for some BIOS updates and I saw 1805 (been using 1206 for quite a while)... But somehow that didn't resolve the issue... I tried out another USB KB and it still sometimes take so long to get into the BIOS but at least karon mo gana na ang KB works while inside UEFI...

    Moving on, I reinstalled Windows (7 HP SP1) to refresh my OS as I normally do usually after 1 year... for some reason, dili na nako ma install and IRST (saying it does not meet requirements)... I don't know what I am doing wrong as I did not do anything except update the BIOS beforehand... Before I reinstalled Windows, IRST was working fine...

    Related kaha ni sa pag update nakog BIOS?

    Tried the one from the motherbaord CD, same message... Tried the version I previously used, same message... Tried the latest one from Intel, same message... And yes, BIOS is set to AHCI... This is the third time I reinstalled Windows for the day and I am getting really frustrated as it is still not working and my SSD is getting worn out unnecessarily...

    Unsa kahay problem ani mga bro? Ako na suwayan akong mga na bahasan sa google pero mao ra man gihapon ron d gyud mo install... ahak 4am na ganina pa ko aning 9pm (

    naay solution sa page 1, naa pd sa page 2.

    also make sure nga ang gamit nimo nga sata port, intel chipset ang controller (white color)

    bai fafs, ako na pud na ma subay og ang wala pa lng nako masuwayan dha kang naay "diskpart" nga buhaton...

    ang ako lang gyud kahibulungan nga wah man koy lain gi buhat or wah pud lain na add/remove nga hardware... same gyud tanan, nag reformat lang ko unya mao na nahitabo...

    ngano kaha ni bai sah?

    i think same ta mobo right? unsa imo BIOS ron bai?

    ^^ bai wert, what do you mean exactly? sa akong pagkahibaw naka UEFI mode nako... naa ba specific option ana sa BIOS (UEFI) nga akong pde ma check?

    lawgawa ani oi, kutaw na akong utok dah... wah juy lain nausab except BIOS update, then reformat ko... all else remain the same... After ko nag update sa BIOS ok pa gani to pila ka days, wah pud issues sa IRST... Just yesterday I decided to reformat para dala pang limpyu nalang pud unya mao na toh kaboom...

    By the way IRST na "Rapid Storage" ni ha, para dili ta malibog sa "Rapid Start"... wah may option for rapid storage ko makita sa BIOS, only Rapid Start... as far as I can remember lahi na siya and disabled na siya sa akong previous settings...

    magamit ra baya gihapon siya maski walay IRST naka install pero ang ako lang dili masabtan ngano dili siya mo install og mo ingon nga "does not meet requirements" nga wah may nausab intawn oi so surely something's not right...

    also i've read nga naay performance gain gyud kung naka install ang IRST labi ng naka SSD... haayyyyyyyyy pastilan wah ko ka enjoy sa akong weekend dah hurot na akong oras aning problemaha...

    I'll be damned....



    I downloaded the latest BIOS again og ang previous versions pud then akong gi compare ang sulod... Notice nga ang latest is usa ra gyud siya ka file... when I updated my BIOS, ako ng gi rename parehas sa akong pag update sa una then save sa USB and then I used Asus BIOS flashback option...

    Intrigued nganong usa ra siya ka buok, akong gi re-flash ang BIOS, using the same method, but this time wala nako gi rename ang BIOS file... and VIOLA?! Ni install na!!!

    Grabeha, mao ni pinaka dugay nako nga troubleshooting so far! Kung unsa nalang akong gipang suwayan og download, ako pang gi pang tangtang og gipang reseat ang mga parts wah gyud gihapon... karon, mo tuo na gyud ko aning "if ain't broken, don't fix it" when it comes to BIOSes?!

    i thought successfull imo previous bios flashing? also, pdf files raman na ang pakapin, not needed sa flashing.

    Successful bro, no errors nor warnings... Ahaka traydor sad ning Asus dah!? Pero may nalang wah ma syakoy akong mobo...

    Ang BIOS file ra akong gi butang sa flash drive and nothing else...

    Mao ni instruction pag rename depende sa mobo model...

    FYI nalang pud ni sa mga Asus P8Z77 mobo users or similar models... careful lang mo sa pag update sa BIOS or better yet ayaw nalang gyud pag update kung walay BIOS related issues... Tagam nako, hahaha! Hasula, hahaha!
