    Default 2nd hand Crosshair Formula V

    I'm not really a fan of buying 2nd hand parts, until recently when a colleague offered me his Asus Crosshair Formula V. Some facts about his formula V

    1.) It was bought in singapore.
    2.) Still has 1yr.+ distro warranty.
    3.) Carries his overclocked PII 965 B.E before.

    His offered price is a bit expensive than an ASRock 990FX Fatal1ty bnew, or an Asus 990FX Pro R.2. But about 25% cheaper than a bnew Formula V.

    If I'll go for bnew locally offered motherboard stated above, I get 3 years warranty.

    Need your opinions guys.

    Something to consider also, is that I'll be looking forward to re use this board again when Steamroller launches this 2014.

    for a 2nd hand unit bro... ok ra gyud na sya... personally, kadaghan nako naka suway ug palit ug mga 2nd hand items in this passion of our... so far, wla pa ko naka guba-i... guaranteed man na imohang amigo ang tag-iya. dili man siguro na sya pud mo baligya ug faulty unit.

    if i'm in your shoes, i'll spank that mobo... hehehe... try to haggle... basin maka hangyo pa ka'g gamay...

    Concern lang nako kay ang warranty sir, I do like the board but if something goes wrong I got no warranty to back me up. Owner is currently on SG so that mean with the remaining distro I'll have to have it shipped to SG for RMA. Whereas if I buy locally, thats 3 years warranty to back me up.

    mao pud... kana ang concern... but again, if you're not at ease, ayaw lang ug dayon. likay lang sa unwanted things to happen... i-assumed na wala pa ka maka experience ug 2nd hand unitsmaong hesitant ka... sabot-table ra na bro... pra at peace ang imohang mind, go sa bnew mobo, you'll never go wrong with those 2 choices as you've mentioned above man pud...

    buy local...bahala ug mahal2x...kanang warranty nya nga gi-mention, local Singapore ra na...meaning adto gyud na nimo ipa-warranty sa tindahan or distro office sa SG w/ the receipt sa mobo...ask kuno kung Asus International warranty ba na kai pwede ra from Phil. to SG direct...

    actually naka sulay na ko ug palit 2nd hand pero processor nuon which is most unlikely gakaguba. Importante man gud ang warranty sa akoa. And pila napud ka items naguba sa akoa nga nasalbar ra tungod kay naa pay warranty. Thanks sa inputs!

    @simoko try nako ask sir

    I doubt magub-an ko while gaming hehe, what I'm concern about though is I'm pretty much into overclocking. 2 boards already died on me ( burnt VRMs the other one is dead northbridge ) they all got RMAed successfully. Although I have faith in Asus ROG boards, it still a possibility.

    BTW is 8k just right for a used Asus Formula Crosshair V?
