HDD: Reinstall OS or replace?

Patambag ko sa ako problema. Mag sige ug crash ako laptop kung magdula ko, usually online games. Wa pako nakasulay ug crash sa Prototype 1 ug Frozen Throne pero pirmi ug crash ako CS:Source

According to BlueScreenView, ang bug check code kay 0x00000117 meaning its graphics related. Here's what I did:
Updated all drivers - no good
Driver verifier - 1 day running no crash (if magduwa ko dretso crash no bluescreen)
Furmark - 20mins. burn-in test: no crash, no artifacts (taman ra gani ko character selection sa ro2 yowo)
3dMark Vantage - no crash
Prime95 - no errors
Played with different graphic drivers - no good
Temps while gaming:
CPU: Average of 72 on gaming, never breaks 84 on Prime95
GPU: Average of 68 on gaming, never breaks 82 on Furmark

Karon ra nako gi-test ako HDD gamit sa SeaTools. Short tests passed pero long test failed. Ok ra man jud mag browse sa web, youtube, browser-based games (Arcane Legends hihi), etc... pero mu-crash lang sa games. Reinstall OS or replace? Mahal lang kaayo i-replace kay ana tong taga Sony 10k daw ang HDD.

Laptop specs:
i7-740QM
nVidia 425m
500gb Toshiba SATA, 5400 RPM
4gb RAM 9-9-9-24

Last question: I'll be back to the start if I fix this problem. Question is: To install windows updates or not? Kita man gud ko ug threads nga saba kaayo ang fan if naay update ma-install or something goes "wrong" kuno.

Before spending all that $$ for a new HDD, I would just reformat/re-install the OS first with all updates.
Then ONLY install CS: Source and play that all day and all night. See if it still crashes.
How old is your laptop? Have you cleaned the exhaust fan with compressed air?

@coolnezz: I cleaned the fans and changed the thermal paste to a Tuniq TX-4. I'm playing without turbo, same performance, less heat. And the laptop's 2 years old

try changing RAM.. or basin ang program naay prob.. if game ra ang problema.. basin ang game mismo ang ilisan..

if not ilisan ang ram.. dili man dayon ma guba ang hdd. and why HDD??

Ni-pass sa tanan test ako RAM, tested it twice with 4 instances of HCIMemtest. Gi-try nako akong game copy sa pc sa ako friend walay problema sa iya. Ang RO2 sa ako friend dili mu-crash sa iya laptop ug pc pero sa ako mu-crash. Sa tanan test HDD ra ang hagbong.

Kaduha nako nagub-an ug HDD sa usa ka laptop. Ang una kalit-kalit, napa-ilisan ug bag-o kay guba jud pero maayo nalang to kay under warranty pa. Wa ko kaback-up sa ako files.

try reinstalling the games first, mao gani gihapon...
tan awa ang event viewer asa nagka error...

or reformat bro... sakto ang gi ingon nila sir coolness...

pila ka sticks imo Ram boss? try to alternate each stick ug butang.

I had the same issue with you sa ako laptop...mao ni ako gibuhat:

installed RAM No. 1 and No. 2 = Crash
installed RAM No. 1 = Crash
installed RAM No. 2 = OK

RAM no. 1 is defective.
