After Power Surge Problems

Hello All,

Please help me with my problems regarding on a power surge after blackout that happened last last week

My PSU died which is Silverstone ST60F-P. I dont know if it's affecting my Video Card but when I tried to use my video card using Acbel PSU 500w that has 1x6 pin and i also have the 6 pin adapter from the card itself. BTW my video card is PowerColor 5870. My Video Card did power up but it didn't show any display. Is it affected from the power surge? if it's affected it shouldn't power up.

And also my Power adapter of my monitor which is series 3 of samsung led monitor. Where can we buy the power adapter for this monitors? Any Ideas?

try imo videocard sa lain pc.
i think naay power adaptor replacements sa isa ka stall sa SM.

@werty : okay ra man pd ako pc without the videocard. wa man sad problema. pero sahay mag dual monitor ko gd pra sa ako freelance work pra dli lisod ang pag develop ug sites. and one thing wala koy masuwayan lain pc. hehe

medyo mahal2 sila- mga 2k+ man guro na. try to check lang if naa compatible voltage and watts replacement sa imoha. u can also have it repaired-if ok ra ka mga repaired items.

i check lang imo videocard with other computers para ma sure if defective na ba, rare raman gud na makalusot surge to other components if ni pyaet una imo branded psu.

@werty : thanks for the advise sir. maybe i'll try my videocard to other pc if it's still working. post lng ko balik dre if na resolve ba ang issue regarding sa vcard.

U mean safe ang mobo and other components ana master basta ma-una og kaguba ang psu sa surge? Pede ba sad maguba ang procie anang surge?

unpredictable man nang surge. anythingcan happen. dili pud tanan surge protector(even in branded psu) can stop all types(kung mao man ba tawag ana)of surge. naa pud na sila limit how many times mu cut-off(sort of) sila ug voltage. d lang ko mu go ug lawom na technical terms kai d pud ko kamao mu explain. hahaha
