remembering Guns N' Roses - "Estranged" (awesome Video)

Random thoughts prompted me to download the MTV of "Estranged" by Guns N Roses. Directed by Veteran Director Andy Morahan (November Rain), it still is one of the most expensive and greatest music videos of all time. Shot in different locations around the world; GnR Concert Tour in Germany, Mansion scene in the USA, Tanker Scene @ the coasts of Texas, underwater scenes at the Carribean (with the Dolphins!) and countless shots at the in house studio. I Will post screenshots later when i get home from this freakin job. Anyone still remember the video?

by the way the song is almost 10 minutes long, classic GnR stuff.

the video starts with AXL rose in a morbid state.. probably in one of his valium induced sleeps

next scene is in Cologne, Germany, GnR world tour - 1993, people are rockin the stadium

i dont understand this scene, a bunch of groupies watching Axl on TV, regards to the lady in RED.

Next scene takes place in a millionares Mansion somewhere in the US, everyone is in white
AXL is escorted into a limo headed for the airport, where a C5 Cargo plane greets the band

This is a studio shot; AXL in another solitary scene followed by a bad ass scene of slash doing
a guitar solo riding in a moving board, playing his guitar across the crowd, the scene (as wellÂ* as the riff) is superb

Next is the scene @ the coasts of Texas aboard a Fuel Tanker; AXL leaps off the ship, almost drowns but the dolphins revive him back to life

Another bad ass scene.... Slash rises out from the ocean playing the last Guitar solo of the song. Check the scene
wherein his GIBSON was dripping wet (not to suggest anything)... classic. Scene was rumored to be shot at the Carribean.

the MTV ended with AXL Rose being rescued by a US coast guard crew. A scene shows AXL's sneaker left to drop to the bottom of the sea with the complete definition of the word "disillusion". The last scene shows AXL rose with his digital signature. Take note of the Plastic Dolphin, probably the dolphins in the video were not real hehe

if you notice November rain, Dont Cry and Estranged seem to be connected with each other. Its like a trilogy. directed of course by the same maestro, Andy Morahan
