A Penny for an Angel has been set up to support Lyzabeth Zuher during these difficult times. We are aiming to raise Php500,000.00 and hoping to get 500 people donate Php 1,000.00 each for her second operation before the end of the 2nd week of December.

Description
Last September 28, 2012, seven-year old Lyzabeth Zuher R. Genobiagon was diagnosed with brain tumor and hydrocephalus. She already had her first operation (Endoscopic Septal Fasciculation & VP Shunting) last October 6, 2012 to immediately drain the excess water which was trapped in her brain due to the tumor.

Lyzabeth will be having another operation to remove the tumor this December 15th. Dr. Maria Victoria Bael of Chong Hua Hospital tried to recommend the Gamma Knife instead of the traditional way of removing the tumor since it is less risky and the expenses would amount to P550,000.00 which is more or less the same with the other one. The traditional method would be very dangerous since the incision will be made on her nose up to the forehead and the recovery period would reach up to two years. Unfortunately, we were informed that the Gamma Knife treatment will no longer be appropriate on her case since the mass is already too large. Thus, we should resort to open skull surgery. We were also advised to have Lyzabeth undergo Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) again to check the present size of the tumor after the first operation.

We are knocking on your hearts for the second operation of Lyzabeth Zuher. As you can imagine, the financial consequences can be quite alarming especially now that the procedure will be more risky.

Lyza can no longer see on her left eye and her right eye might also be affected if the tumor continues to grow. We just want her to live just like any other kids her age and end the suffering that she has right now. We will be very grateful to receive any amount you can contribute. Your generosity would make such a difference to our lives.
