Default My Bike Project for 2013

After 4 years of leaving my old service bike in college left out in the rain and dust and only used sparingly. I finally mustered enough courage and strength to get my bike in tip top condition with kumander's approval. Wala pa ko recent pics since I am here in Cebu and the bike is in Negros but it is a 2004 Kymco Activ 110. This will be a work in progress since si kumander man ang hawak sa budget so hinay hinay lang sa upgrades. Target date of completion will be September 2013 para ma enter ni nko sa local nga drag race competition/motor show.

Here is the bike 4 years ago...and this is still how it looks until today...although cracked na iya fairings:

    Current condition:
Headlight is still working but is damaged already. Speedometer is no longer working. Needs full headlight assembly replacement.
Remaining fairings are the back fairings na lang and there are already cracks.
Rear shock absorbers need to be replaced, alloy mags need to be repainted along with the chassis. I also need to replace the swing arm...bought a cheap one as a replacement before and is still in good condition but it has dents already.
    Needs a full electrical rewiring.
Motorcycle is still in running condition. The engine is no longer stock, I have installed the following mods:
-stroke up and bore up (52.5mm piston to 54.5 mm, ang stroke nalimot na ko ug pila)
-big valves (23/27 valves)/stage 2 racing cams, LHK racing valve spring, yamaha RS 100 (2 stroke) and carburetor nga gigamit/oversize spark plug
-racing clutch spring/heavy duty clutch plates
-lightened flywheel and rewound stator coil, battery drive CDI
    -13t-32t sprocket combination

I pretty much know what to do with the bike and how I want it to run and amigo lang sad nko ang mechanic. Just to make it clear, dili ni siya panghinambog, I just want advice and inputs sa ako setup and I also want this as a motivation for others to start their own project and for me to cough it up and make sure I push through with the project. As reference, i'll be posting the damage (in php) for each modification. Some of it though will be DIY:

    January Mods:
    Full Engine Overhaul:
New Bearings and gasket- 1.5k DONE
Static Balance plus e balhin ang oil pump sa gawas (like XRM) -2.5k DONE
    Repair sa oil leaks+ buff- 5h <after break-in>
Big Valves nga Cylinder head- 1.8k decided not to proceed
Block-i might use my old one pero if naa pa budget then 1.6k ang block for 54.5mm, plus rebore to 55m is 5h= 2.1k damage (new block) or 5h (old block) - used old block
    new clutch plates @3h each x 4 = 1.2k - DONE
    new primary clutch= 8h - DONE
55m hi speed piston= 1.8k -not installed yet
    Total: 12,200

Total damage up to date: 6k
Break in sa motmot for 2 weeks

    February Mods:
    Racing Magneto- 3k
Carburetor- depends pa ni...still cannot decide pero max budget nko would be 3k
    Total: 6k

    March-April
    -full body repaint (urethane)- 2k
-replace rear shock absorbers (1.8k) and front telescopics (1.8k)
    -powder coat alloy mags- 2k

    May-June
-convert to tubeless low profile tires (1.2k each) -2.5k (with conversion kit to tubeless)
    -14t-31t sprocket combo 1.2k
-replace fairings (headlight assembly lang ug back fairings) headlight assembly with speedometer (2k-3k), back fairings (1.8k)

    July-August
    -new muffler (3k budget)
-install mods to make it road legal (side mirror, signal lights sa back) -2k budget
-register it back sa LTO, get a new license plate made (I lost my original)- 3k budget, dili pa ko sure pila ako penalty

If naa mo nahibaw.an nga shop nga barato ug hatag for any of the services/parts that I am looking for, please leave me a PM. Update nya ko once maka uli ko sa current pics sa motor. I hope others will also get the urge to restore/modify their old motorcycles. Any inputs or advices will be appreciated. Medyo uwahi nko sa balita sa mga setup sa motor so mejo old school na jud ni nga setup so tell me if naa new trend karon so I can take that into consideration. Higpit ko ani sa budget kay si kumander man hawak sa kwarta so any tips on how to minimize the expenses will be greatly appreciated as well.

    More power mga modders!

i can attest to that. Kymco is a good brand, unlike other brands like Rusi, Racal, and etc. Problem here in Pinas kay grabe ra kaayo pagka market ang big 4 mao na dili jud ta mosalig ug lain na brands.

anah...gawas lng jud pagka crab mentality sa mga pinoy...kymco has been one of the top brasses sa underbone endurance runs sa luzon circuit and that should speak for itself as well.

ana jud bro...its a hobby...and dili jud mag labad ako ulo ani ky with all the modifications i've done before(there were times na na bore up ni siya to 57mm, 59mm, 60mm, 61mm and 65mm) ning agi nko sa labad sa ulo sa mga modifications ani...now, its just a matter of putting it all of my experience before together after a long time of deciding what the mods should be...ang labad sa ulo ani kay si kumander nlng...ahahahaha!
