Devotees of Birhen sa Regla have turned the official Lapu-Lapu City Facebook page into a virtual “panagkot” site.

A day after the site uploaded a photo album of the land procession of Birhen sa Regla, its unique visitors reached more than a thousand.


One week later, the specific photo of the Birhen sa Regla taken last Nov. 12 became a favorite photo of the site with 50,000 unique visitors.


The solo picture of the Birhen sa Regla has around 10,000 likes, almost 1,000 shares, some 200 comments and counting.

The ten of thousands of devotees, many of them now living outside of Lapu-Lapu City, who have been following the site have left messages on the Facebook page.

Most expressed their gratitude for the blessings received, some wrote personal intentions others sought the intercession of the Lady of the Rule while a handful of women prayed that they bear a child.

The city of Lapu-Lapu which has a fast growing Facebook page has been the source of information for many residents. It has almost 6,000 followers and over two million friends of friends.
