Need help about DDR3 mems

Guys I have a Q6600 processor and decided to upgrade my old faulty motherboard. Didto ko sa PCX & GI phased-out na ang Asus G41…. Asrock G41M-VS3 G41 – na lang ang available… My question is fully compatible ra bani sa RipJaws (2X4) 8gb 1600? Or unsa effect ani if kani akong paliton na mems? (ang naka butang dri sa Asrock G41 is Supports Dual Channel DDR3 1333 (OC) )…. salamat

i don't think so... basin dili mo boot... ayaw nalang sugal bro kay lisud na... medyo low end ra ba na nga chipset ang G41 so i don't think it can support 1600... it is possible but who knows...

in theory, dili na mo support ang G41 chip set ug 1600 DDR3 (PC3 12800)... up to 1333 DDR3 (PC3 10600) lang sya... lain ug timing ang 1600...

but, in actual, no experience pa pud ko ana... hehehe... if mo down clock ang 1600 to 1333, basin modagan... not sure though...

sa akoang actual experience, dagan ang DDR3 1333 in a G41 chip set... gamitan ug 800 MHZ FSB CPU (Celeron 420)... mo down clock ang memory to 800 timing

huwat ta'g comment sa naka suway ani pud using a DDR3 1600 mem sticks on a G41 chip set...

modagan ra kai naa mai JEDEC profile ang RipjawsX for DDR3-1333...ang kanang DDR3-1600 niya is the XMP profile...mo clock down ra na to 666 MHz for the 1333MHz JEDEC speed...

watch out lang pila required voltage sa imong G41 mobo...ang RipJawsX kai morag 1.5v man tingali while most LGA775 mobo kai mo require ug 1.65v...

kung pwede nimo ma test before paliton mas maayo...basin kanang Asrock G41 dili mo support ug high-density ram(4gb/stick)...

sakto ni si bro simoko... ang uban ICs, dili mana sila 1600 gyud... they are 1333 clocked to comply the 1600 requirement. programmable manang mga mem ICs... naa na sila EEPROM sa sulod...

then kana pud voltage requirement, need na i-check pud. to much can cause the mem chips to over heat which can lead to burnt components inside the die's internal circuitry (on a worst case scenario)...

if u can borrow a DDR3 1600, bring it as u buy the G41.ipa-test boot.


kay sure ko mudagan na ang DDR3 1333 sa G41

im using an LGA 775 combo Asus G41C-mlx DDR2 | DDR3 1333

I "guess" it still work since backward compatible man and memory, provided na the same socket lang sila..but the speed that you will get will be that of the lower speed device, in your case the MoBo...
