BEFORE September 29 - Kenneth was a stray dog with a fresh cut of his snout DANGGLING beneath his jaw. his snout was believed to be cut/slashed/hacked by a very sharp object sometime September 17(based on the vet med assessment's age of the wound when the vet med assessed him). the object which had his snout cut is undetermined. it may be a bolo, sickle, chopping knife, axe, sword; we dont know. all we can confirm is the cut is made by a very SHARP object. where exactly this happen and who is the perpetrator, there is no information.
September 29 - a good Samaritan named Jan-Jan Solon fostered Kenneth, In Talisay City, Cebu, Philippines. he is a trisikad/pedicab (please google the image of trisikad for info) driver. it came to his knowledge from a fellow trisikad driver that there was is this dog that has a cut/slashed snout dangling. this dog in that area where he was straying is such an UNWANTED to the people passing by. probably because of the horrific sight of him, the odor or both. Jan-jan took that dog home and later on named him "Kenneth". this is also the time Jan-jan's nephew named Michael visited their home and took pictures of Kenneth.
September 30 to October 4 - during these time Jan-jan feed, took care, bathed Kenneth. their family was the laughing stack in their neighborhood for taking a Kenneth into their care. the neighborhood would least care about Kenneth than to have food in their table. the fact that even Jan-jan doesnt have a celphone, which will give you the idea how he even cared more of Kenneth than that of other necessities and priorities. Kenneth is fed with table food. something we cant expect for Jan-jan to give him dog food for it is beyond his budget.
October 3 - Michael, Jan-jan's nephew posted the images/photos he was able to take of Kenneth on September 29 to his facebook account. asking people or had posted in his FB wall for someone or anyone to help Kenneth.
October 4 - Guilliam Roque, the President of Cebu South Dog Club Inc. or abbreviated as CSDCi or simply CSDC, saw the photo of Kenneth in the FB account of Michael. Guilliam immediately communicated with Michael and asked whats the story about the dog posted in his FB account with a horrific dangling part of his snout beneath its jaw. after confirmation that the dog is of his uncle(Jan-jan) and is with his uncle's foster care in Talisay City(same city of Guilliam's residence and same city as the HOMETOWN of CSDC), Guilliam immediately went to personally see or visit Kenneth and talk to Jan-jan. after verifications, Guilliam contacted Island Rescue Organization or IRO thru its President Nena Hernandez. CSDC and IRO had come to a number of rescues together. the partnership of CSDC-IRO in common cases was rescue the dog, bring it to the vet for assessment and other vet med procedures; IRO will take the dog to its shelter. however the case of Kenneth is not one of those "common cases", its extra ordinarily way beyond CSDC's and IRO experience and beyond CSDC-IRO resources to rescue-give-surgery-take-to-shelter. not this case. this the same reason on this day, CSDC-IRO decided to post thru FB asking the animal loving community for help; may it be donations, prayers, or volunteers for vet med surgery and any support (by sharing thru FB, twitter, etc). see the photo below and read the photo's description:

October 5 - IRO started the chipIn account for Kenneth's fund raising, started to mobilize its members, supporters and network for Kenneth's fund raising campaign. affirming by both Presidents of CSDC and IRO its commitment to make the "Kenneth Rescue Case" a JOINT and mutual effort. for the launching of the ChipIn and fundraising campaign CSDC-IRO decided to upload 11 more photos of Kenneth(in the same album as of the first photo posted oct 4). some photos were deleted by the FB system due to inconformity to FB's policy. please see photos starting from here:

October 7 - Kenneth's vitals were good and Dr. Guille Zialcita, the Chief-surgeon/Team-Lead of the Vet Med Surgical Team for Kenneth gave the green light for Kenneth's surgery to be set on October 8, 2012 sometime 11AM to 1PM; depending on the condition and the availability of the team to be in FULL FORCE(full force of 8 Doctors). upon hearing the schedule CSDC-IRO asked the WORLD for PRAYERS. by this time, the funding and the vet med volunteers are there; there is nothing more we can ask from the very supportive community but PRAYERS for Kenneth's successful surgery:

October 8 - rounded at 2PM the Surgical Team is READY. Kenneth is READY. the community in prayers and is also READY. 2PM the re-construction surgery started. THE TEAM: 8 doctors, 3 vet med assistants, 1 operating room. ONE WILL. ONE dedication. ONE commitment.
this team was yet to make the BIGGEST challenge in thier profession, the first reconstructive surgery with this gravity in the Philippine Vet Med history(please correct me if im wrong).
around 610PM, Dr. Zialcita (Surgical Team Lead) stepped out of the operating room and announced it was a SUCCESS!

October 9 - "Kenneth sends his LOVE to all who made this possible!". quote referring to his surgery and care of course. post-surgery photo of kenneth was published. Doing well in the recovery ate very well; except he tried to take off his bandages and in the process some of his stitches got out. Dr. Ivy Alvarez-Zialcita (Surgical Co-Team Lead) then decided to staple that section and not put the bandages. that way he won't try to take it off and in the process his stitches would be removed. He is using an Elizabethan collar so that he doesn't attempt to remove any more stitches:

MEDIA/PRESS NOTES: Kenneth's story had been featured in MAJOR broadcasting companies in Philippines. TV Network ABC5(Aksyon TV) got first coverage of Kenneth's admission to the hospital(October 6, 2012) and aired his story October 7, 2012 in its NATIONAL News Version. evening of October 8, press/media tried to cover the update of Kenneth's surgery; however CSDC-IRO and the Surgical Team sought to refrain other visitors to get photos or videos of Kenneth so that not to raise his stress level. October 9, the surgical team accommodated the media/press with the medical condition of Kenneth. CSDC and IRO refrained to give any comments which of legal steps or nature at this day for awaiting a scheduled press conference set on October 10. ABS-CBN, GMA, ABC aired the surgical team's update the same day (October 9).
***Event timeline edits/modification and updates will be posted in THIS SAME photo description.
