In the aftermath of the Republic Act 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, Sen. TG Guingona files the Crowdsourcing Act of 2012 which gives the public a chance to express their thoughts and sentiments on pending laws.

According to Senator Teofisto “TG” Guingona, the Crowdsourcing Act of 2012 allows people to comment on pending bills through email and the internet. It also allows the public to access copies of bills and measures pending before the Senate and the House of Representatives. Simply put, the people, including the online community, are allowed to participate in the process of law-making.

As shown in the infographic, the bill promotes Transparency, People participation and Accountability. However, as indicated, it’s not perfect and calls for help from the public in order to improve it.

- Nice 1 Mr. Senator TG.. your such a worth senator for our country at this moment.. coz this past few days i felt no hope to this country because of our DUMB Politicians like mr. Sotto who never accepted even one of those mistakes he made (maskin klaro na kaayo). I'm guessing they will need to properly identify and confirm the identities of those submitting suggestions. Last thing we want is have someone lobby something over and over, each time posing as a different person.

Why not use TIN #, SSS or GSIS Number, Just hide lang ang numbers then single comment ra... 1 Vote ra per person kung naa may poll...

they lack the experience you have.. they are also limited to what they know.

I love his Bill, it give us Netizens a Voice and Power to participate or express our opinions in all bills that are pending from House to Senate. This bill brings good for our nation, this will end the stupidity behavior of our DUMB Politicians like Sen. Sotto.
