thankz sa info bai^^ ask lng ko, naa ka kaila nga naa xp x64 with sp2? if naa, daghan ba sya na encounter problems lalo na sa drivers?
Dual boot na lang, bro.
Btw x64 SP1 = XP SP2
SP2 for x64 should be equivalent to SP3 for XP, but that's not a sure thing yet cuz they might branch off into different areas. Most of the improvements in x64 SP2 are not relevant to XP.
I'm using x64 SP2 and so is insect cuz I saw his posts in the other thread.
And to answer your question about drivers:
Most printers and graphics accelerators have 64 bit drivers already. Recent Intel motherboards have complete x64 drivers. With my D945 mb though, the AC `97 front panel microphone jack doesn't work although the headphones do. In my d915 everything is okay. Epson Printers allready have x64 drivers. There are built in drivers for Yukon PCI-e LAN card. NONE for CNet.
I was able to find an x64 driver for my Conexant fax/modem card.
The biggest problems are in software compatibility. My MediaFace (cd/dvd labeling program) won't work. Other programs that don't work:
Webroot SpySweeper
Spyware Doctor 5.0 (4.0 seems to be okay, though)
Hyperbowl!
Quicktime (use Quicktime Alternative instead)
RealPlayer
Windows OneCare
Things that do work:
MS Office (of course!)
Kaspersky Antivirus
avast! antivirus
Programs that are best run on x64:
FarCry!
Half-Life 2![]()
7-zip
Smart FTP
Best thing for you to do is download the trial edition to see if everything you need works. I can give you my CD of the trial edition so you don't have to download. Ikaw bahala sa Serial Number cuz mine expired already.
