    Default Protecting my business idea

Hi guys! Gusto lang ko mag ask ninyo kung is there a way to protect/prevent my business idea from being copied or enhanced if ever mag arrange ko ug meeting sa mga potential investors/business partners then ako eh present sa ila ang whole business model. What if they would pretend na dili sila interested or dili feasible akong idea pero at the back of their minds ilaha diay eh enhance ra and use it as their own..

Please tabangi ko mga amigo ug amiga! Thanks daan!

pwede diay na ipa patent bisag ingana? now what if ila eh enhance tapos they would claim na original idea rapud 2 nila and well of course their rationale would be that anyone could come up with their own idea and it might just be a coincidence na medyo similar among business model.. so paano kaha? hehe

I suggest you open it up to people whom you can trust. Once you open it up to just anyone else, wala na kay control sa uban if they will follow it or not. If you patent it, they can still follow it and just put a few modifications. That easy.

I also suggest you focus on things that are within your control such as quality, good customer service, and probably a little creativity to create an edge for you and your business. If people will follow it or not, it's beyond your control and you can do nothing about it. It's not worth worrying so to speak.

Regarding capital, you can go to banks. You can get very competitive and reasonable rates.

Thanks mga bros! mao jud ni akng need, mga other person's point of view ky para ma affirm jud nako ako opinion..
actually money is really not the issue para sa ako ky I know na kaya ra nako eh finance ang business labi na im not planning to start it in a big scale right away. ang habol nako sa mga potential investors/partners ky ang experience, knowledge and above all ang network nila sa industry na im planning to venture into. The thing is, I did not have any proper education sa business ky pwerte ka layo sa ingani na field akng profession. pero ever since hilig najud ko ug business ky I grew up in our family business and katong college ko sige nako ug read ug business books, reports ug uban pa and right after I graduated sa college, nag start daun ko ug mga small businesses while I was in medical school. all of my businesses were doing really well and medschool was good too but then ni abot akng residency visa sa canada and I have to choose between medschool along with my businesses or my residency status in canada. my friends and family told me to choose canada ky ang medschool and business ma padayun raman nako diri while ang residency status nako ky lisod na kaayo ma ilisan...I work as a marketing mgr here as of now pero sa 1 year+ nako na puyo diri wala pajud ko na close na as passionate as me sa business or mag business ky akng mga ka edad diri lahi pa ila mga trip.. so need jud nako mo duol ug mga medyo naa najud experience.. mao na akng situation diri ron.. LOL! salamat ninyo ha!

Sakto si makie bro. You cannot protect the idea from being copied because it can be revised.
I think it's now your choice asa jud ka. Kani lang ako pts:
    1. Any person whom you talked to about the business model can copy the idea.
    2. You may not be the only person thinking about that business model.
    3. What matters is not "whose idea it is". But "who people saw implemented it".
The original is the 1st person to implement. Not the one who 1st think about it.
    4. Going out of the country, makes you less sensitive to the market.
    5. Without you running the "conceptual" business, it would be a total disaster.
    6. You need not go to school or study books to be an entrepreneur. For me, its a gift, a talent not given to all.
    7. For me, if God made me a Filipino, there must be something about it.
Otherwise, He should let me be born in a Canadian parent so that I will make Canada much wealthier.

sakto si rescyth. In all my meetings, my clients will ask me to sign NDA bisan gali ang ila project existing na. It won't guarantee nga dili jud copyahon imong idea pero at least naa ka laban if unsay mahitabo labi na kung nindot kaayo na nga idea.
