Business owners often spend lengthy periods of time working on their laptops, and regular use typically leads to food and drink spills, bacterial growth and even stuck keys. Acer advises against removing individual keys to clean underneath, so you’ll need to clean your laptop on a frequent basis to avoid problems in the future. Fortunately, the Acer Extensa 5210 Keyboard cleaning process requires little time and effort, and you can even use antibacterial wipes while you’re working in your office.
Step 1

Unplug the Acer laptop and turn it off. Hold the laptop with the keyboard facing down over a trash can. Gently shake the laptop to dislodge as much debris as possible.

Step 2

Blow compressed air along the keyboard and underneath each key to remove any excess dirt or debris. Shake the Acer Keyboard over the trash can once again.

Step 3

Dampen a lint-free cloth with soapy water and wring it out. Thoroughly clean the Acer Extensa Keyboard and touchpad with the lightly damp cloth, then dry both the keyboard and touchpad with a clean cloth. Alternatively, you can clean the keyboard with antibacterial wipes. Allow the keyboard to dry completely before turning it on.
