Heres one of the suggestion look for the 700MB+ iso image of knoppix linux
burn it to the CD
attach the bad hard drive and boot with the cd

go to the shell

type ntfsfix /dev/hdd (hdd...etc)
exit knoppix, remove cd then reboot

If tit works then everything is fine. Ive tried this
