the amityville horror
it wasn't really that scary (inside the theater i mean) but the story itself is real horror. it's based on a true story and the reason behind such killing thirty years ago, before the lutz family settled in the house, is chilling and hair-raising. although the movie lacks most of the "horror tricks" that most movies of the same genre would use or contain, the story itself is enough base to scare its audiences. the cast isn't really that powerful but it's a good thing they didn't choose people who were too famous for the roles. a little off-topic, alanis morissette must be really lucky with ryan reynolds. such a hot bod.
overall, i give this movie a 6/10.
