Driving from Cebu to Oroquieta/Ozamis City

Hello Istoryans,

I'll be going home to oroquieta.
It will be my first time to drive the long way home. I just got my ford fiesta.
I need tips, place to ride the ferry, time of the ferry and pricing.

Isakay ra man na sa barko (CebuFerries) imong sakyanan. The long drive starts from Ozamis to Oroquieta, which I doubt moabot og 3 hours. I don't consider it as a long drive

Are you sure of this one? Tig anha ko often sa Oroquieta but that was more than 10 years ago. It only took less than an hour for a shuttle van to reach Oroquieta from Lawis! hehehe... Bitaw i'm not joking, na assign man gud ko as intern dinhang lugara so pirmi man ko byahe..

pricing, wala ko kabalo kay hitch ra man ko ako cousin. ?

Cheapest would be to drive south of Cebu to Bato. There is a Lite Ferries roro to Dapitan every 7PM. It will arrive in Dapitan around midnight.

Not sure of the exact rates as it depends on the type of vehicle. Last year was around 4k to 5k php for an SUV with one person free of fare.

You can also load your car in Cokaliong or 2GO (former Cebu Ferries) straight to Ozamis but it would be more expensive. They quoted like 12k to 13k for a SUV.

Shipping the car as cargo with the vessel is too expensive. 12K for the size of my car. LOL! (and only the driver has a FREE accommodation)

I have done some research too, and going from BATO is the best way.
