    Default Core i5 3570K OC

Geeks and enthusiasts! Here we go again, hehehe!

Not sure kung naa na bay existing thread but just want to post one for this particular topic... Anyway, karon pa ko ni balik og Intel after 8 long years so just wanted to refresh my skills labi na sa mga current generation Intel kay wah na jud ko ma update, hahaha!

Of course this is on top of Mr. Google but gusto lang sad unta ko maka discuss ta ninyo diri mga bisaya about OC experiences for Core i5 3570K OC...

2nd gen users are most welcome as well since murag parehas2x raman ni sila og methods to OC siguro (I could be wrong though...).

By the way, I am not a hardcore OC'er (but I do have OC adventures in the past with my P4, Athlon64, Opteron, Phenom II rigs) but since capable akong hardware, just wanted to try it and run a couple of benchmarks maybe just to see performance gains but I don't plan in running it OC'ed permanently for the very reason of power consumption and ever rising electric bills.

from my experience, paspas jud xa since i came from a medieval pc (pentium 4). and i can say that i love it! i can play most games at mid-very high overall details depende sa games pud.

number 1 issue is heat, 2nd is bill sa kuryente!!! sus mariya 4.4k akong bill karon from 3k!! ako pud i24hrs usahay kay naa koy gidownload. bago ra pud ko ngupgrade from 380kbps to 2mb.

for now basin madelay akong plano pgpalit ug new monitor ug video card ako sa bana banaon pila total gastos ani pagpalit kay sakit kaayo sa bulsa!! buslot naman gani daan buslutan pa!

i could think of the following that i need to know para naa koy idea where to start and what to expect...

    - Vcore:
    - Multiplier (unsa ng BCLK - honestly, naglibog ko ani sa duha ):
    - Disabled na ba ang turbo core automatic kung mag OC ka?
    - XMP or Auto or Manual for the RAM?

    BTW, mao ni akong specs...

wala ko mgOC boss ky wala pa ko mkapalit ug decent nga cpu cooler, ang akong plano paliton katong NH-d14 pero la ko sure basin dle maigo sa mobo, ug para nako murag no need mn for now though i surely will OC this baby this year.

all settings are currently set to "automatic" and all "power saving techs" are activated but turbo mode is off ky na notice nako muabot ug 70c akong cpu kung fully loaded with turbo ON and im so uncomfy with that temp.

you dont need to touch the BCLK, multiplier lng ka ug volts magfocus, since dle kaayo ko kabisado sa Asus d ko magpatuga2 ug feed ug info nimo basin lahi ra ta sa MSI. kung dle ka confident sa imong target nga voltage, iset lng sa automatic.. run lng ug mga test kahuman para msabtan kung naay problema sa imong pagOC. and also expect a higher temps.

sa ako experience sa cge ug ukay-ukay ani nga proc,

kung dynamic ang voltage -> the higher the clock speed, the larger the voltage required == more heat (init jd kaayo)

to solve heat issue, ga undervolt ko, running same clock speed at lower voltages == less heat same performance

stock cpu cooler gamit nimo boss? actually kung airconditioned ang imong room ok kaau magOC bsan pa stock cpu cooler (dont get me wrong its ok to OC even dle aircon imong kwarto). natry nako giablihan nako unya airconan daun 16c, hehe.. testing lng ba unsa kamobo nako mapanaog ang temp. stock cooler lng akong gamit kay naabot xa ug lowest 22c - 28c fluctuate @ full load but for testing purpose only.

heat raman jud imo kalaban ani nga processor...naa to thread ni Crashburn wich will give you an idea on where you will settle comfortably...that would be around 4ghz-4.2ghz.on daily use.. beyond that, the heat is unbearable...@4.5ghz muabot na ug 80deg.C of p95 blend.but anyway ang imo purpose ani is just to see how high you can hit those numbers.no chips are created equally so you might have a golden egg right in your hands...
