I posted this thread in the career center of iStorya, because I know a lot of people here are looking for jobs or maybe have worked for a scam company operating in the Philippines.

Being in the IT industry I have often hear about how some people view Pinoys who work online. Some people think we are hard working and industrious, but others think a lot of Pinoys are scammers.

One of the reasons why some people around the world think Pinoys are scammers online is because they are being employed by scammer call centers located here in the Phils. Some Pinoys don't even know they are scamming people. They just think they are doing their job and are happy to get paid.

I have met in scammer call center owners in Cebu and I told them I did'nt agree with what they are doing. Their excuse was that since they employing Pinoys and paying their taxes that it was ok. Some even tried to say they where paying off authorities to operate.

Has anyone here ever worked for a scam "get rich quick" scheme operating here in the Philippines ?
