Do souls have emotions?

am just curious why there are confessions/stories that souls are trying to communicate to mortals even to the point that they are angry or somehow shows feeling and emtions,

brod, if you believe these 3 things in life... death, grief and comfort, then souls have emotions. Soul is part of your existence though there are people don't believe in souls because every human brain has a lot of biological characteristics, including raw intelligence and the facility of inventions. I consider human ideas and imagination as emanating from the soul, which catalyst for the human brain. I hope I make sense.

By definition, emotion is the basic units of all perception like consciousness, qualia, feeling, thought, perception, senses, etc. are in a very simple range without applied meaning at the basic level of pleasure to pain. As wikipedia puts in, is an intense mental state that arises autonomically in the nervous system rather than through conscious effort, and evokes either a positive or negative psychological response.
