Need advice. Gaming laptop or desktop?

I want to know what you guys think since I don't know much about computers. I do not want to ask in a computer shop because I know they will just convince me to buy from them so..yeah. I think I know the basics and the new stuff being released but I don't know any more than that. Such as building a computer. So I was thinking maybe a laptop suites me better because I can just buy it and be done with it knowing it will work the way you expect it to. Where as building a PC seems like a hassle, like choosing the right components and stuff like that. I've tried having a computer being built for me but I'm not very satisfied with it since I only bought it with mid-range parts 3 years ago which is what I'm using now.

My main usage is for gaming, archiving music and anime (in HD), general pc use. I'm willing to spend around 60k~90k. There are 2 laptops I'm interested in, the Samsung Series 7 Gamer and the Asus G75V. I have no idea where to begin for desktops so if anyone can help me out on this, any other advice would be awesome. Thanks.

Desktop para nako kay "upgradable/highly customizable" depende sa imong needs and since you're archiving music and HD videos kinahanglan kag dakog capacity na hard disk. Kun desktop ka makapuno dayon kag hard disk kun kinahanglan kag more space para sa imong music ug videos where as kun laptop ka maglisod ka kay: not upgradable, lisod pangita ug parts pang upgrade, or mahal ang parts kun naa.. hinoon pwede ra ka mag gamit external hdd pero hasol pud cge kag connect din ang price pud mas barato ang internal hdd.. Ang video card pud nimo pang gaming dali ra ka ka upgrade kun ganahan ka mag upgrade sa video card kun desktop imoha.. Lastly, mas mahal kun laptop

I would say it depends on your preference, sa desktop kai scalability incase you need to change or add parts to it, flexible sa available parts bout needs tedious reading and know hows when it comes to choosing what's best to suit you..

sa laptop limited pero great advantage ang portability, you can carry it around, anywhere -specially on your trips, cons availability of parts and dapat aware ka sa charging/discharging kai una mo give up ana ang battery...

since mahalon man imu pili-on nga laptop molungtad jud ug dugay2x pero ang equivalent sad price for a desktop mas taas in terms or re-usable parts like PSU, HDD/SSD, VC towards your next rig/build

go for MSI Gaming Series (MSi GT683-i5 which i used right now) and Asus brand.. your budget really suits to my recommendation, yet it's slightly cheap but same quality from leading brand! Goodluck TS!

depende pud na sa imo gamit bro, magcge ba ka ug travel? or naa lang ka sa balay?.. mas prefer jud ko desktop if naa lang sa balay ganahan mogamit ug computer, ky in terms of upgrade2, dali ra, nya dili pud mahal ang mga parts compared sa laptop, storage pud barato ra mga hard disk ane niya ky mao raba imo intended download2.. nya lingaw jud naa desktop bro, labi na sa pag assemble2, limpyo2 ug search sa mga upcoming upgrade niya, nice new hobby to have jud bro ..

with ur budget, and given dili kaayo ka knowledgable about computers,.. You can get a laptop for gaming and an external hdd for additional storage.

i suggest MSI gaming laptops.

IMHO over priced ang asus.

also power consumption laptops<desktops.

Gaming laptop + good external storage = Desktop replacement

PROS: portability
CONS: limited options for upgrade

desktop + large capacity internal or external hard drives (for archiving movies)
PROS: can be upgraded in the future. can easily change parts especially if there are parts that are defective
CONS: non-portable
