A slip-on exhaust is a direct replacement for a motorcycle's stock muffler, offering improved styling and reduced weight. If designed properly, a slip-on exhaust may also provide a 1 to 5 horsepower increase in the motor's performance.



Purpose

A slip-on muffler functions similarly to a stock muffler, directing the spent exhaust gases away from the rider as they exit the motor. Misconceptions

Many motorcyclists believe that a slip-on alone is enough to create more horsepower. However, air and fuel intake must be increased to compensate for the sudden increase in exhaust, which leans the air/fuel mixture by allowing too much oxygen out of the motor. If left as is, a lean condition will create a loss of power, and overheating will occur. Installing a high-flow air filter and an aftermarket fuel-injection controller or carburetor jet kit will balance the air/fuel mixture and generate more power.

mag sadya na pod ni nga thread. i feel you TS. ako ga motor man pod ko, but la jud sa akong plano mag ilis ug non-compliant muffler. mag ilis lang ang uban para mag saba2 and increased torque and a mere 10kph increase in top speed? for what? ok ra na and sports bikes kay mao man jud na ilang sound and compliant man na ilang mufflers and mga underbones nga pag drag racing purposes, but on a daily basis gamiton pang service nga nga ang tingog murag pizzolo gipabuto sa sulod lata, bawlang. mo ingon pa nga "muffler nga saba", pag ka ba lamang, mao btaw gitawag ug muffler para ma muffle-reduce and sound emmision.

Not only NOISE POLLUTION. I'm not sure if you guys have experienced whenever these type of motorcycles pass by sa imo tungod (tugkaran) ang hangin sa ila tambutso (exhaust) buga diretso straight sa imo nawong! Unsa kahay rationale ana buga sa ila tambutso paibabaw man hinuon..

Sometimes i just wished mubalik sa tag P60 pesos or more ang litro sa gasolina aron di ni sila mugara ang uban mga abusado..

Kan-a na inyung horse power, unsa man mo makig lumba mo sa dalan? Wala man gani na kaila ug unsa nang "horse power" ang kasagaran ana nila. Gara-gara ra jud ang rason ana.
