PC Problem That I Can't Solve - Help Needed

Hello Istoryans,

For the first time, karon pa jud ko wala ka fix sa PC nga akong gi-try ug repair.
Ako na na-try tanan options pero wala jud na-solve. Well, except for one which I will discuss later.

Problem: It takes so long for it to boot to Windows. Say 30 mins. before masulod sa logon screen.
Bisan pag display sa Windows 7 logo after the POST ky mu-take ug around 3-5 mins.

Fixing: I tried to update all drivers and BIOS, defrag all drives and isolate all hardware/peripherals but to no avail. Procie temp seems to be fine at 55deg max. Ako last resort was to reformat the PC but still the problem remains. Here's the thing, pag-reformat nako, bisan pag launch sa Windows 7 installer ky dugay gihapon kaayo. 2 HDDs na akong gi-try pag-launch sa installer pero mao ra gihapon.

Ang wala nalang jud nako na-try ky pag-ilis sa PSU ky wala koy extra. Sa symptoms above, possible kaha nga PSU related ni? Makadugay ba ug boot kung daotan ang PSU?

Core2duo
4GB RAM ddr800
80 GB HDD - OS
1TB - Storage
Windows 7 OS
GT 220 GPU

g check nimo ang temp. sa CPU?

check imo mobo for bulging capacitors.

my take:

duda ko sa hardware especially sa hard drive:
- padung guba na ang hard drive assuming 80GB pa na medyo karaan na kaau. wala naman ron brand new na 80GB. try daw scan using hard disk sentinel bcn ang health nya ky dili ni ubos na.





pwde sad sa bios settings:
- check daw ang SATA operation sa bios. if nka set sa legacy/ATA or AHCI. try switching between the two if ma resolve.

Gi-try nako ug lain nga HDD, mga bossing. Nag-wonder lang ko ky bisan pag launch sa Win7 installer ky dugay gihapon kaayo. Also, ako na na duwaan mga options sa BIOS.

Mao ang akong duda ky sa ani rang tulo: MOBO, PROC or PSU.

Wala man pod bulging caps sa mobo and the cpu temp is well within 55 deg. max.
Nikalit ra man ni nga problem.

Is your 4GB ram boss is single stick ra or 2x2GB memory na siya? Have you tried using other memory in installing Windows 7 OS? Step-by-step lang bro to diagnose and isolate the main problem. Post updates here para makasubay ta ug basi'g makahelp ta in a little way of our knowledge.

yeah, boss.. nabuhat na nako ang pag diagnose sa problem by isolating the components.
by the way, 2x2 Gb ang ram. na-try napod nako isa lang lang gigamit ng stick.

ang PSU, proc and mobo nalang jud akong gidudahan nga faulty. I'm hoping nga psu ra ang problem.

these wil cause it:

4GB RAM ddr800 << have u tried 1 stick at a time?

80 GB HDD - OS < eIDE or SATA? make and model? version and age?

have u tried Hiren Boot CD v14?with live XP

> remove HDDs > boot from CD with 1 sticks a time > time it

ir both working..

> add 1 stick > add 80 GB > boot from hirens > bench HDD


if duda ka sa PSU< make and model | wattage cap | +?

open it if wala na warranty, if naa pa ..pailisi

claim na fluctuating, para i test nila at ur presence
