film camera jud? naa ko for sale na nikon dlsr cam.., bag-o pa ni nako gipalit, then ako napud e-baligya..kailangan lang jud ko ug money..
Granted that the frame was exposed properly and composition was well thought out, photos printed from film will almost always have better quality than photos taken from digital cameras.
You could spend over Php 35,000 and you will get an 18 megapixel digital camera.
On the other hand, you can buy used film cameras for only Php 10,000 (more or less) and still get about 16 megapixels equivalent of 35mm film. Not to mention there are other film formats which allow you to get more than 800 megapixels equivalent.
Today, photography has lost its true meaning. Incessantly clicking the shutter release, deleting the unwanted photos, uploading the chosen photos and Photoshopping them isn't art. Taking time to value and compose each shot on your film, is.
So, let me ask you, brother... why use digital? It's convenient and cheap, sure I'll give you that. But do we really value each shot that we take today?
I have a DSLR too and at the same time I love using film cameras, why? because I get this different feeling of achievement after seeing my shots. It surprises me in a way that I can't explain. I don't have anything against DSLR it's just that I find film cameras more challenging because you don't get to see your shots after taking it. Yeah, it maybe a bit costly because of all the process that a film has to go through but it's all worth it.This is just my 2 cents worth.
