Laptop Stolen, Need Advice

Good AM istoryans!

Let me cut short by saying my beloved 7 mo old Laptop was stolen last week. But the perpetrator left the battery and the AC adapter, so I think that's good for me... i think. Hurts me to tell the story again on how it was stolen, but IT was STOLEN.

Now I would like to ask advice from you fellow istoryans if I should do the following:

Should I post the S/N of the unit here, in this forum?

Should I sell the AC adapter and Battery of it?

I already went to the police for blotter and I still have the receipt.
