The purpose of this log is to inspire people and lead those interested in strength training.. and maybe convert some bodybuilding people to strength training because of its wonders.
The question I always ask myself is this- Would you rather look good in the gym lifting minimal weights or would you rather look average and lift heavy ass weights that most big guys can't handle? Well I surely went for the latter.
Right now I'm doing the Texas Method for the squats, I decided to do bench presses only every 3rd week, overhead pressing is what I love, you might see power cleans and power snatches in this log too.
So for my stats:
Bodyweight - 173 in the morning, around 9-11 I am 175.
Squat - my previous 1RM max was 380 for
low bar. Right now I do high bar at
310x3
Press - 160lbs x 1
Power cleans - 178lbs x 1
Snatches - 130lbs x 1
Deadlift - I don't do this much anymore but my latest was a 330lb deadlift for 4 singles. (4x1)
Here are some recent videos of my workout:
1.)
Strength Training - YouTube
2.)
Intensity Volume - YouTube
The first one was a do what you want training, but 2nd one I was more into a proper program.
My most recent workout was monday :
Squat - worked up to 275lb 6x3
Press - worked up to 145lb 0,1 then 143lb 6x2, 2x1
Snatch Grip Press - 50lb 3x10
DB Rows - 100lbs 5x3
Back Extensions - 3x10
Face Pulls - 40lb 2x20
So with closing notes, I hope some of you guys will be inspired to take this route.
"Hard work beats talent when talent does not work hard."
Always remember that.
