First of all, As part of this forum read the forum rules and you will know the mistake you've done in this thread.

2nd, check what kind of OS you are using, if it is XP, x86(or also called 32bit) then it not a trouble... 32bit OS is only lock down to 4Gb of RAM the reason why you are seeing only 2Gb available is because your other 2 Gb is used for system processing and other stuff... But in win 7 and Vista(32bit) you should see 4Gb of RAM in system properties...

You may try to use 64bit OS. (if your question is answered by this 1st response then you should stop here)

3rd, If you are using 64bit OS and still 2Gb is appearing on your system properties then try this:

- Use other CPU (preferably 64bit OS) and try your RAM is both of them work. If both of them work then your mobo's slot for RAM is the problem. (try resetting the BIOS by removing the battery,pray it works).

Note: always keep you receipt or warranty card.
