On what circumstances that an employee cannot reach a minimum wage in the Philippines. For example: Spa Therapists are earning below minimum wage. Why is that? Based on the labor code of the Philippines that a company that has below 10 employees can be exempted in the mimimum wage rate. However, i know a company in the spa company in the Philippines that has more than 10 spa therapists and has different branches and comes to work everyday. How come the employees are still receiving less than minimum wage rate?
