Good day tech pips!
Just some days passed when I noticed something with this video card I purchased last month or early this month. For the others who are planning to buy video cards, be very sure (if possible) have it tested in the store with GPU-Z info (at least) shown. You'll never know what the components are used on the card's circuit board.... so take this as a little warning. This is the first time i encountered this..
Here's the label on the video card box itself which shows the product information..
all the details are very clear from that picture.. However, after several days of usage on this card i've been noticing some "unusual performance". by that time i started researching all over the internet about this "Sapphire Radeon HD5570" until i bumped on this website presenting a review about the mentioned video card;

even the images of the video card packaging are very similar to what i have, so it made me very eager to read further until i reached this page of the review where it showed and discussed the video cards technical specifications and features;

on the 4 variations of the video card presented...
NONE of it matched the SKU of my video card. surprised? well im sure anyone would be.. the next page of that link above, you will see an image of GPU-Z report of the card that's about to be tested for performance rating. this is where the interesting part is.... i ran GPU-Z on the pc where i installed the card. here's the result along with the GPU-Z report shown from the other website;
**GPU-Z on the right (black themed) is my video card
and below is a list of "differences only" between the 2 cards that has the same label on the packaging and from the same vendor which is Sapphire;
to wrap this first post, i submitted a ticket about this at Sapphiretech website and the only response i got is this..
Ticket No. 28205
"This SKU# is using Turks GPU , if you think the porformance is not better than Redwood , you can retuen the card back. Sorry about the inconvenience."
As for the enthusiasts and techies, would my card perform better than the one with Redwood GPU given those information? what difference will it create when the card is installed on a PCI-E 1.1 and on a PCI-E 2.0? Bandwith is what i know of that is better with PCI-E 2.0.. based on these information i have provided, what's your assessment / opinion on this? "cut-down"?
As for the istoryan (you know who you are) from whom i bought this video card, dont worry sir i wont call this as "scam/ilad", the item is working anyway. My one concern would be is the Proof of Purchase / Receipt of the video card at which you did not provided but you indicated on your thread it's brand new and with receipt.
