Default A day off - A Boss' Perspective

There are 365 days in the year available for work.

There are 52 weeks in the year, in which you already have two days off per week, leaving 261 days available for work.

Since you spend 16 hours each day away from work, you have used up 170 days, leaving only 91 days available.

You spend 50 minutes each day in coffee breaks which accounts for 25 days per year, leaving only 68 days available.

With 1 hour lunch period each day, you have used up another 46 days, leaving only 22 days available for work.

You normally spend two days per year on sick leave.

This leaves only 20 days available for work.

We are off for 5 holidays per year, so your available working time is down to 15 days.

And usually have 14 days vacation per year

Which leaves only 1 day available for work.

And you still ask for a day off ?!?

If my boss tells me this...i would politely answer him with a, wrong calculation boss.....

You see, when you calculated this, ill quote

"Since you spend 16 hours each day away from work, you have used up 170 days, leaving only 91 days available."

When you said 16 hours a day....ill assume that this came from 24hours(hours in a day) - 8hours(working hours in a day) = 16 hours away from work.....ergo the next line saying ill quote, is wrong

With 1 hour lunch period each day, you have used up another 46 days, leaving only 22 days available for work.

Because as ive said 24 - 8 = 16 .... and 8 hour work was derived from working from 8-9am 9-10am 10-11am 11-12noon = 4 hours in the morning and 1-2pm 2-3pm 3-4pm 4-5pm = 4 hours in the afternoon ....therefore when 8 hour work was calculated ....lunch break was already excluded .... so to extract the 46 days for lunch period is wrong.....because it has been subtracted already when you calculated for this....

"Since you spend 16 hours each day away from work, you have used up 170 days, leaving only 91 days available."

So the correct calculation would be that if we use hour 14 day Vacation leave .... this would give us 47 working days....and if not it would be 61.....

But whats really wrong is....to say that we are working for 61 working days only in a year.....remember boss that the term Working days is equal to 8 working hours......therefore to get the correct working days will to convert first 61 days to hours, the answer would be equal to 1464 ... 61 days x 24 hours/1 day = 1464 hours .... since 8 hours is equal to 1 working day, therefore we must divide 8 hours from 1464 to get the correct number of working days....1464hrs/8hrs = 183 days+25days(you deducted from coffee break) = that would be more or less 208 working days.....hehehe....correct me lang boss if nasayop ko....

I forgot....can you imagine if your boss tells you to work 61 days straight? without going home? lol....so its very wrong to add up working hours to comeup with a working day.... working days should always be equal to 8 hours....hehehe

these could be applied if we are rated every second per 24 hours.. But we are not, I never heard an employer said okay your salary per second calculated to 24 hours per day is this but rather okay here's your monthly salary..

when i was a boss, i never had leisure time.

Since you spend 16 hours each day away from work, you have used up 170 days, leaving only 91 days available.
    <--
why would you deduct the other 16hrs away from work from the 170 days di ba you are computing how many days/hours the boss is working?

I swear, it never happened I only had 1 day work for the whole year. the computation/formula and logic is stupid IMO.

1 hr lunch in our company is not paid so we are in the office almost more than 9hrs.

no offense, but werent you surprised TS the end result is just 1day of work? have you seen a boss worked just 1 day in a year? have you double checked or are you even aware of the error?

the title should be a "delusional boss' perspective"
